Liberal Jewish member Grahame Gross led a discussion starting with his experience of going on Aliyah, first volunteering on a kibbutz then serving in the IDF as a combat engineer. We heard how Grahame’s ten years in Israel, as well as his experience of antisemitism in England before and since, shaped his thinking and informed his approach today. Participants offered their own experiences and questions in a stimulating and informative discussion.
The book that Grahame strongly recommended during his talk was Friendly Fire, by Ami Ayalon.
